"Who wants $100 dollars?"

The speaker holds up the crisp Benjamin for the 300+ people in the conference room to see as hands raise. "Ok. Who REALLY wants $100 dollars?". Some start waving their hands like a stranded survivor at a passing plane, while one guy stands on his chair and looks like a poor attempt at flight. "Ok" says the speaker "I want to know who really, really, REALLY wants $100 dollars." The room is no longer the composed atmosphere of well to do business minded seekers. This conference has turned into a mixture of jumping jax and struggling ratites when one person calmly walks to the speaker and takes the $100 dollars.

This example is all to common in the world of business and those who want to become entrepreneurs. So many want the big house, fast cars and expensive thrills; but most don't take any action towards their desires. They want it weighed, stamped, and delivered to them. What kind of opportunities are you creating? What have you done today to attain your short term goals? Business isn't for everyone and certainly not for those who WAIT. Are you excusing yourself from what you are ABLE to do? You may have the capacity to do great things but you must make your move EVERYDAY!

You can read business books all day and be able to profile coutless titans and entrepreneurs but that counts for nothing in the world of business. Most have heard that luck is where opportunity meets preparation and both are essential. The fact is you create your "luck".

How did Mark Cuban sell Broadcast.com for $5.7Billion. Some say he got lucky. The fact is he created that opportunity. He put in the effort. He set Broadcast.com up to be the most ever streamed online product for any given event in 1999. He took ACTION. Stop waiting for the universe to cater your dreams. It's a long hard road and the best time to start is now.

There will be many stumbling blocks on your path but it's up to you to turn'em into stepping stones. No one will fix your problems. You must find the solution and there is no template for success no matter what anyone tells you. Stop listening to the people in your life that say what you are trying to do is impossible.

To realize your dreams you must have clearly defined goals. What happens next is somewhat ironic as nothing will go as planned. You must react decisively and improvise daily. When you start to realize your success there will be many distractions. I believe every business person sees opportunity everywhere and they want to be a part of it all. But it is the ones who retain their lazer focus on their goal that make their business successful. Don't be distracted by the noise of haters or the glamorous lights of the successful. When you give your all to that one thing I GUARANTEE you will see magic happen.
